The suburbs are worse, cause that's where everyone is driving to and from. You were actually in a reverse commute from SFO to downtown SF. YOu also could have hit it on a light day.

Tonight there are people going to Tracy Ca that will be held up until after 8:00pm. The radio is telling them to go shop somewhere but get off the 205 commute.

There are days it takes me 2 hours to go 60 miles...........or longer. I go into work early so I miss the prime time traffic.

The area is rated as one of if not the worst by a national survey.

I am paid for my driving time so I am lucky, but I still would rather not be sitting on the road.

I did hit downtown Seattle at commute time a few years ago and it was bad. I was on a freeway..............maybe 5 as I was heading south after visiting British Columbia.
