That machine, made by AMAT, a US company, has more LONG TERM VALUE than anything you can throw at me by another country. Go ahead, try and give me a country that has a technology product that is more important to the world's future than the machine that allows semiconductors to get smaller (and thus cheaper).

Yeah, right.........you forget Murphy's law. It will be obsolete in 18 months or so. Not impressed.......sorry, dude........even if you are the king.

You might want to consider lithography in general, not mask production. ASML (Europe) and two Japanese companies dominate. No significant US presence, although the remains of some US companies are part of the above. There was lots of hand wringing in the US when ASML swallowed the last independent US lithography co.
