Is it because he is supposed to be one of their own and he became a traitor to some cause?

It's because the hard left at Harvard has wanted to get him ever since he took over. Too much of a "centrist" for them. Coming out against stopping Israeli investment was the tipping point.

IMO it doesn't matter who asks questions. What is important is that they are asked.

I agree that it's important that questions be asked. It's interesting, though, how different people's attitudes about that can be depending on who is offended. Just ask a question here that may cast a less than favorable light on Bush, the US, or red culture and see what happens...
