The Lebanese domino just fell. Let's summarize the tally thus far: Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Lebanon. Who's next? tejek, Elroy, and John keep claiming failure, yet one by one these Middle Eastern countries are charging towards Democracy, as a direct result of Bush's actions in the Middle East...

The problem isn't that we aren't getting it. The problem is you are putting the cart before the horse. Neither Afghanistan or Iraq are democracies. Military attempts are being made to offer them that choice. Whether they will go that route or not has yet to be seen. Only GOPers see gold where there is none..........not yet at least.

Lebanon is a working democracy......sort of. They are not fighting for democracy here but trying to get Syria out of their country. They are using the Ukrainian form of protest as their model. So far, they are looking successful. However, a demonstration does not make for a democracy......that will take time. I am unclear whether the Lebanese can put aside their corruption long enough to make a real working democracy a reality.

And I should caution you......there have been times over the past two years when it looked like Bush's excellent adventure was going to pay off only to have it fall back in the muck. And during the past two years, the overall trend has been down. So I would hold off bringing out the champagne and pretzels.

Your inability to understand other's posts continues. Where have I ever said coalition actions in the ME are failing? I do believe I predicted about a week or so ago that GB would be remembered as the President that brought democracy to the region (it was entitled my "get over it" post).

You should stick to posting your own views, because your ability to decifer other's views is zero.
