All true. None of it relevant.

Eh? What that says is that if you were 18-35, you only 1 chance in 10 of being drafted.

Now true, the big concern over being drafted was being sent to Vietnam and to combat,
THe chance or that was 1 in 4. Still not horrible. Much better than say, being a German of military age in WW2.

but the discussion revolved around being drafted in general. In general, if you didn't have a deferment, you faced a very high probability of being drafted.
BUT of the population of military age in general, your chance of being drafted was only 1 in 10 and of being drafted and seeing combat was 2.5%.
