Meathead,
Hi!!

RE: On the flipside, it's an all you can eat buffet. If you are a heavy consumer of music, this is an interesting value proposition. Personally, I would definitely opt for a service like this over the $1 a song services currently available. I could sample an unlimited number of songs and discover artists I never knew existed. I like the idea of being able to download to my hearts content without worrying about the cost. If I let the subscription expire, I can always go out and permanently purchase the songs or CD's I really liked.

Music has always been a love here...And, I couldn't agree with you more...When I first read this link that Bill provided me with I went into one of the study halls and asked the kids (9-12) what they thought of the concept...AAPL has a nice foot hold here but the concept being proposed by DELL was immediately absorbed and contemplated...The "unlimited" really made an impression...Kids really aren't as dumb as some of us think...AAPL has thrown them a wonderful opportunity...And, Bono has made the identification a strong impressionable win/win situation...It's up to DELL to market why their deal is better...
Your analogy of the ISP is perfect...Will the same marketing strategy work? :O)

Hope all is well...
