I believe that in this State, we can no longer have 'special levies' for schools...wealthier districts have to have the same rules as everyone else. And still, our schools are failing. And not just in this area. Look at NYC for instance. Last time I saw figures, over $10,000 PER student is being spent for education. Does anyone think they are getting their money's worth? It isn't just a matter of grades. Gates was talking about the sciences and math....the base of knowledge needed for economic well being of the individual in jobs of the future.
