You are in Utah now, is that right? The ride from St Georges down through Escalante, Capitol Reef National Park, Lake Powell and over to the Four Corners/Mesa Verde area is one of my favorite motorcycle rides...awesome, and no lane splitting required.

Chris, But isn't part of the object to get there alive? <G> I'm a former biker and I can't count the times I was nearly killed by some truck or car that didn't notice me. Or did notice me and wanted to kill me.

Motorcycles are not my bag.........I had two riders ride the white line in heavy traffic a couple days ago and almost caused a wreck.................they aren't for me. I like something other than leather between me and the asphalt. If you like it, more power to ya!!! :>)
