We're pretty sick here in the US- or so it appears. The consumption driven economy, fueled by ever larger piles of debt, doesn't look very healthy to me.

<do you doubt that the 'wage earners' understand which side their bread is buttered on...hence their overwhelming vote?>

Who explained the buttering to them and in what speech or press conference? I'd like to see the transcript and the graphs of American median wages. When middle America is jobless, they may never learn WHY they are jobless. I know why because my company alone dumped 300 high-paying manufacturing jobs in 5 years. Out of 1200. I'm sure Wal-mart is hiring after killing the suburban down town sections and all U.S. consumer manufacturing. Maybe 50 jobs for acreage as large as our factory, including parking lots. That would be a net loss of 6:1. You can make a small fortune with economics like that but you have to start with a big one. You keep it big by recouping losses from the workers.
