Since GDP is calculated with consumption as a component I would argue that the balance of what is going in to the GDP is sick, and different from what is has ever been- and that it doesn't matter that the ratio is modest- because what is going in to the numbers which make up the ratio is an economy running on its own consumption. All you need to do is look at the export numbers- they are scary (imo).
