It's an expensive insurance program...You could buy a lot of term life and disability coverage, especially in the participant's younger years, and still have plenty to fund a retirement account...In later years the insurance portion could be lowered as cash value accumulated.

It is a poorly ran program and a wealth destroyer....Typical of governmental waste.

SS is the equivalent of putting your money in a mattress somewhere earning 0% interest, except its worse than that, thieves have found your mattress.

Thats not true, all who have paid in and not died have received payments seperate from need.
