ICG Commerce says it had rapid growth in 2004

ICG Commerce Inc., a King of Prussia technology company that helps businesses in cutting their cost of purchasing supplies and services, said in a news release it signed 55 contracts during 2004 and "achieved consistent double-digit quarter-over-quarter growth." The privately held company, a member of publicly traded Internet Capital Group, did not release revenue or profit numbers. "The value of the revenue we had under contract has increased 175 percent during the year," spokeswoman Kristen Knouft said. ICG Commerce employs more than 300 people, including about 120 in the Philadelphia area, she said. The company said it signed several new customers last year, including telecommunications company Avaya Inc., and received contract extensions from others, including Crown Cork & Seal and Delta Air Lines. - Porus P.
