The belief in the afterlife is one of the most human of attributes. In the final analysis though, the only two possibilities are that life created the universe or the universe created life. Perhaps I am too vain to believe the latter and the happenstance it would require, but framed in this manner I believe the argument for intelligent design is entirely reasonable.

I was thinking about Neocon this evening. We argued often. I enjoyed it and I hope that he did too. His short life was terribly unfair. There is no justice if justice relates to an honest heart and a sincere search for truth.

Most people on Silicon know that I believe justice, etc are human concepts, efforts, and effects--but subject to random Nature. Another victory for Nature...
