We will see eventually whether the big bank heist and the other recent bank robberies did involve the IRA. It is too soon to tell for sure, but as I pointed out, the Irish and English governments want peace in Northern Ireland, and are heavily invested in making sure Sinn Fein is successful. Sinn Fein as a political party has been around for quite some time, and while they may have been becoming more popular, it is cynical to think that parties involved in close races with Sinn Fein candidates opposing them manufactured the whole uproar and framed them for bank robberies another group committed.

I don't think there is any doubt that the IRA was involved int he McCartney bar killing and the cover-up, and that the Unionists were totally uninvolved in any way. They are destroying themselves. No one else can destroy them as well as they are doing for themselves right now.
