Yeah, I agree w/ you. I'm staying away from these two, because it's not worth the risk to find out that tysabri is a good drug and combined with avonex is risky. It would take us years to really prove that.

There's an old saw, don't take any new drug until it's been out two years. That's enough time to find out what the real side effects are. :)

I think we need various revisions in our system. One is a less corrupt process (will that ever happen?) where the FDA is not essentially bought by big pharma.

Another is not to bury side effects but to be realistic about drugs. Drugs HAVE side effects. Or rather, drugs have effects and some are not beneficial. They aren't"side" they're just not the ones we want.

The idea of magic bullet is misguided.
