Ted, I forget that I have to be very specific with you all. ... I meant comparing metro areas or states. That's OK. I'm fine with apples-to-apples comparisons. The only problem I have is this: What conservative city compares with liberal "cesspools" like D.C. or L.A. or Detroit? Besides, OC is not that conservative and its becoming more liberal with each passing year. That's true. The diversity of this county is steadily increasing, and with it, the politics change. Speaking of which, there were three "splotches of blue" within the OC last year: Santa Ana (large Hispanic community), UC Irvine (academia), and Laguna Beach (artsy-fartsy town). Tenchusatsu
