LONDON (AFX) - The rate of growth in the construction sector slowed for the second month running in February, the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply said

CIPS said its purchasing manager index of activity in the sector fell to 54.2 in February from 55.5 in January

A reading above 50 indicates an expansion in activity, while a sub-50 figure indicates contraction

CIPS added that the drop on the headline measure came despite a rise in the new orders sub-index which rose to 56.9 in Feb, from January's 55.6
