SB899 Attacks Motherhood.
Two rounds of cuts in compensation to injured workers are causing harm to California injured workers.
Certain groups of injured workers will be harmed more than others. Believe it or not, injured workers who are MOTHERS are especially harmed by the new cutbacks that “apportion” the cause of the injury to pre-existing conditions.

The new statute is so confused and unclear that it is being misinterpreted, causing delay and further suffering to injured workers.

Here’s an incredible example of the injustice being done to injured workers who are mothers.

This injured worker was a housekeeper in an Orange County hotel. She injured herself picking up a bed. She felt pain in her lower abdomen, as if it had been ripped or torn. Her uterus dropped as a result of the injury.

Prior to the work injury there had been no symptoms of any problems
