Bin Laden Tells Al-Zarqawi to 'Focus' on Attacks Inside US

(CNSNews.com) - U.S. officials Monday said recent communication between Osama bin Laden and Iraq's Abu Musab al-Zarqawi suggests the al Qaeda leader "encouraged Zarqawi and his group to focus on attacks inside the United States," Fox News reports. The sources said there are no specifics in the message but called for a "focus" on attacks inside the U.S. Read News on the Web

Now being a bit cynical, my first questions is "is this misinformation put out for a strategic or political purpose?". Assuming not, then my assumption is that if the government can intercept one bin Laden to Al-Zarqawi message, then certainly they have intercepted others (otherwise why tip their hand). To what political or strategic purpose was this particular message released?

As I said, I don't understand... but it's a good example of how it's best to read the news with the source as well as the object in mind.

Exactly, and you have to wonder why OBL told al-Zarqawi to it. Why would OBL's people not be doing it themselves?

To me, the Bush administration is getting us ready for another invasion. This is so typical of the stuff we heard leading up to the Iraqi invasion.

But once again, I have to add........Americans fall for it hook, line and sinker. Did you see the article MM posted......25% of Americans think we should use nukes if necessary? I am unclear what is happening in this country but its very disturbing. It seems Bush has brought out the blood lust in some Americans.
