As the only mechanism for protection and assurance of collective bargaining, it will start to look attractive, but not until it gets really exploitive ala the U.S. Steel of c.1900

Back in '79 I was in the men's clothing business and one of the lines I sold was Arrow shirts. At that time Arrow was 85% domestically produced and 15% imported. The union called a strike. Arrow opened the books and told the union if they called the strike off production would be the same, if the union got the raise the production would shift to 15% domestic and 85% imported. The union held fast and a few got nice raises while the majority were laid off.
