Not just Greenspan, but the Bushies with their "deficits don't matter" and "we will rule the world" mantras.

Are not the reckless Bush foreign policy and the extremist Bush/Greenspan economic policy two sides of the same coin?

Year to date review of downtown San Diego condo market.

sdcondo.com

Help me with this, but it has a frantic look to it? Condos for sale are up considerably from last year. There are now 268 for sale (versus 56 this time last year). Additionally, there have been 154 price reductions (she only started running this datapoint in October) YTD. That seems quite high under normal conditions, but then again look at the friggin prices to begin with? Half mill for holes in the wall:

However, pending buy activity is still high with 134. Then again, 24 are back on the market (fell out of escrow). Is an 18% fail rate typical in residential real estate? Unfortunately despite the great market information, the site doesn't appear to provide actual closed transactions, but that's Bubble economics for ya.

Net, net it looks like distribution, with the buyers still making the effort, even if they don't have the means (back on the market). Interesting set up, and a Bubble that needs fresh oxygen and Feed Me Seymour plant food.
