In essence, they'd Weimarize the economy to clear the debt by devaluing the currency. Is that so far fetched?

Yes it is far fetched
It is only a threat
It would destroy banks, credit card companies, etc and help bail out J6P

In that regard it simply will NOT happen
Under a different administration or a different FED perhaps not.
As it is, what you suggest is indeed preposterous
