Great article! I really thought with the end of the Cold War that America would enter a new age of enlightenment and start focusing on solving domestic problems. I couldn't have been more wrong about that. I'm amazed at how the U.S. has become even more militaristic and more repressive since the end of the Cold War. The "powers that be" saw a chance to take America in their direction of militarism and repression that suits their purposes and they're implementing their plan with each passing year. The dream of America, land of the free, is dying a slow death.
