It's about time the VP of the United States began taking his constitutional role as president of the Senate seriously again. The RETARD WARD that the Senate has become is because they have had no leadership for well over a century.

It boggles the mind to realize that BOB DOLE was once considered "in charge" of the US Senate. It simply boggles the mind. One doesn't know where to BEGIN to describe what a disaster that was for the nation...

Not true, while the article says the Repubs did everything to block Clinton nominees, the Repubs not once used a fillibuster after a nonominee reached the US Senate Floor. ONly the Dems have stooped that low. The Dems consider reading children's books, "My Dog Binky" out loud as part of their "Advice and Consent" in the Constitution. It only takes 51 votes to change Senate rules not 67.
