The air was responsible for the laterally moving cloud of debris...but apparently you missed this comment from my post:

Steel is very elastic, imagine a buckling column and the amount of energy that can be stored in the spring like condition of a bent column. Then when a column's connection failed it would act as a catapult. Also as the building collapsed there could have been may lever fulcrum type actions from beams or columns that could have flung huge beams. You calculate the amount of stored potential energy in terms of weight and height that the collapsing building gave up. There was more than enough energy expended in those few seconds to fling all manner of heavy steel beams around.

I can see you're convinced of a conspiracy to take the towers down. I have not seen anything yet that convinces me of a conspiracy.

I do think that Bush and Cheney played loose with the facts about the war. But don't see the connection to the WTC collapse conspiracy. That's like Cheney saying that Saddam was in cahoots with Al Qaeda. That isn't true either.
