Have you ever been to a carnival where you swing the hammer on a lever fulcrum and fling a large weight to the bell? Same thing likely happened at the WTC...only much much more energy being released.

tonto,

Re: I am curious what type of contracting work did you do?

It varied over the years. I preferred to do commercial from the ground up or T.I.

One of my buildings is in this photo:

And I did a lot of work in this facility:

Re: There is an article from Bend that describes you as a school teacher who was involved in a student protest last year.

Really? I've never been employed as a school teacher. And it's a real struggle to get students here to protest anything. The average age of our protestors is, well, pretty creaky. Lots of us were on the streets during the Viet Nam imperialism.

Re: I do agree with you. I have never seen gravity hurl mass as Orca described.

Yup, it sounded pretty silly to me. Here's a simple test. Get the person who believes in the Divine Wind theory to take a CMU (cement masonry unit, or "cinder block" to the layman) and ask him to hold it over an extended foot in a stiff breeze and drop the damn thing. The Divine Wind theory will not be believed for more than ~10 m/s/s. Take ibuprofen as needed.
