I liked that article on Greenspan so much that I will repost one section of it:



"I fear that we may have already committed more physical resources to the baby-boom generation in its retirement years than our economy has the capacity to deliver," Greenspan said.

"If existing promises need to be changed, those changes should be made sooner rather than later," Greenspan said.


Greenspan wants taxes based on consumption and a broader base, a social security system that is not pay-as-you-go, and a balanced budget. Hard to argue with his positions, although I know the liberals don't agree. But I happen to agree wholeheartedly with all of Greenspan's positions.
