Ted, Per capita, Vermont has lost more people than any other state.

When Vermont's "capita" is rather low to begin with, the statistic is meaningless.

As for the losses from WA state, I'll bet Fort Lewis is a bright red "splotch" in your otherwise blue state. Kind of like Camp Pendleton just south of where I live.


I was only counting the people who were residents of WA state. If we include the people from Ft. Lewis, it would be a bloodbath.

Coming of age in a time of war

A story of three guys from the Seattle area......good buds....who graduated from high school last year. All three enlisted.......one's dead, one got wounded but is back in Iraq and the third lucked out. A sad story being repeated throughout this country.
