Local media is the difference? I would suggest that the national media covered Oklahoma City. Are you suggesting that the local New York media exaggerated 9/11?

There have been many more domestic terrorist attacks than foreign terrorist attacks in the last 20 years (or any other time period). But the perception is different.

As a realist, that should give you pause.
