Just heard an interview on the radio with a couple Montana ranchers.
According to them the reason the suit has been filed is:
"Canada needs to cooperate more on the world scene"
"Canada acts too liberal"
"Canada needs to act more as an ally"

Their view was a little less of the above and the cattle are moving.
Well that gets it out in the open.

Let's go the local auction mart and run this idea of competition for an Alberta resource by the boys.
I am not sure how much of a political furor locally there would be this week.
At the least the Enbridge pipeline should be used as a bargaining chip to receive some semblance of free trade in lumber cattle, etc.
