Oh yes, the old Ford Pinto case. The low point in Corporate American history. Those are the good old days we'll return to. What does Corporate America care? They drive high end, mostly European cars.

One thing about this action by the corporate Republicans, is it doesn't prevent individual law suits. In any case, we've learned that Corporate American can't be trusted. Give them some leeway and they'll go wild. In my state, Ford has an ex-Superfund toxic waste site that was removed from the Superfund list ten years ago because they claimed it was "cleaned up". However, just this year Ford is back cleaning it up some more. It seems as if they missed a ton of toxic waste and residents kept reporting problems and finally they are being addressed. So much for the EPA and Superfund, they took a site off the list that was still highly contaminated.
