Amy, I dont see any of your energy toward dismantling the "discrimination" practiced by Islamic societies, or black student's associations, or sororities. All you see are the "intolerant" Christian associations, as if they are the only groups that exclude potential members based on race, religion, or sexual orientation.

Amy,

my first son was born in Munich 1976 and since we lived in a small village outside he went to the closest (Catholic)kindergarten at age 5. When he started school by our choice he stayed with catholic religion classes and than later when moving up to next level made the choice to join the protestant classes because his best friend went there.

Since my wife is a Buddhist and with me being a non practicing protestant from Sweden we never had any problems with this. Neither did the schools nor the kindergarten. Eventually at age 16 he and his kid brother at 14 both made the choice of getting baptized and passing the protestant confirmation proceedings.

When my son was 3 or 4 years old I had a conversation with an Italian pater and told him that since my wife is a Buddhist and I am a Christian we decided to leave the religious choices to the kids to decide by themselves later.
He thought that was cool.
I then asked him if my kids were not at risk by doing that, because according to the Bible souls dying without being baptized are lost?
He told me not to be concerned by taking that too seriously...
I found that quite cool.
