Ted, Strangely enough, they tend to be discriminatory and anti democratic.

Every Christian group I've been a part of has never been anti-democratic.

If they discriminate, then by definition, they are anti democratic; that is, they are against social equality.

As for discriminatory, I already covered that with Amy. Can't wait to see the first case of a sorority being sued on the basis of sexual discrimination.

Most universities require that campus organizations have a no discrimination policy in their charter. That includes all fraternities and sororities. For whatever reason, that makes Christian org. nuts. For an example:

Daily Tar Heel

"All eyes were on members of the Alpha Iota Omega fraternity Wednesday afternoon as they stood in the middle of the Pit - amidst a mass of reporters and swarms of students - and formally declared the federal lawsuit they have filed against the University.

The all-male Christian fraternity is fighting to reinstate its official University recognition, which was revoked last year after members refused to sign a nondiscrimination policy required of all campus organizations."
