The FDR and LBJ programs were always put on the backs of the Middle Class never their own upper class.

"FDR had deficits because of WWII," True, (& they were much larger measured against GNP then even today's...), but BOTH the CBO and OMB analysis of Bush's spending over the past four years clearly show that less then 50% of ALL his increase in the federal deficit is due to all the War costs (Afghanistan, Iraq, al Qaeda, etc.) and all the military budget increases (ABM system, etc.) PUT together. So... saying 'War' only explains less then half of the problem. "LBJ because of great society and VN WAR" Yep. That's a MUCH BETTER comparison, with the fiscal imprudence of our last 'Texas President'... who ALSO increased federal domestic AND military spending simultaneously --- without cutting other spending to finance it, relying on additions to the national debt load.
