a brand called Garden of Eatin' The founder of HEB, Howard E. Butt, was a very religious man who didn't allow alcohol to be sold in his stores during his time as chief. His heirs lifted the alcohol ban but apparently are giving a nod to the old man with a little Biblical punsmanship. Perhaps their apples have warning labels? :) I've heard that our version of HEB's Central Market is an interesting place to shop, but I haven't visited it as yet. We had an HEB grocery store in my hometown during my growing-up years. It was on Main Street with a parking lot in the back. Now it's a mammoth supermarket on the edge of town, and I no longer know any of its customers nor its checkout girls.
