Ah, the perils of groupthink. I guess for some, the comforts of wrapping yourself in a protective cocoon & existing in a world of make believe outweigh the need to live in the real world. Movies & TV are all the escapism I need. I shudder at the thought of never returning to reality. And that's what these folks are doing - shutting out all reality that conflicts with their POV's. "Feelings" that are at odds with reality cannot be reality no matter how hard you want it to be. This one incident exposes the real problems a cult of groupthink can create. It is one of many that this thread & others on SI have exposed. Most of the regulars there cannot or will not see that they violate their own thread guidelines with impunity or that many of their POV's are at odds with reality, yet they impose their guidelines & POV's harshly & improperly upon anyone who expresses dissenting views there. They are absolutely convinced they are right & superior in all ways to we heathens over here. We may not be perfect, but I'm glad I'm part of this crowd, that's for sure.
