The Bushies like to claim victory before the results are really known. Afghanistan is clearly a mess.

My guess is Iraq will suffer the same fate. It will be the same or worse at the end of the year, but the Bushies will be on to something else to claim premature victory.

Atque ubi colitudinum faciunt pacem apellant.
"They create a desolation and call it a peace."
Calgacus, talking about the Roman occupation of Scotland, quoted in Tacitus' Agricola (98 A.D.)
