Seems to me the Department of Education released the data (from the first large statistical analysis, I believe, of Charter schools across the nation) about a month or two ago --- it was then reported in many media outlets, read into the Congressional Record, etc. --- but the Ed. Dept. didn't really want to let the public see the results it seems... because it took a Freedom of Information request to shake it loose from their clutches.
