RE: "I didn't read that part...but it does not matter. We've lost plenty of support folks in iraq."

It does matter. He has nothing to do with Iraq.

But he has everything to do with the wastefulness of this country's money and the buildup of a military complex. Next we'll probably learn about $100,000 faucets or some such thing. Please don't ignore this wastefulness. It comes at the cost of people that need it.

RE: "draft"

I definitely see the value in creating a draft for all ages (not just for 18 to 25 years old) because the USA would avoid war, if we were all involved. Having said that, I've never been for this war so have mixed feelings about a draft. If a draft is reinstated, it should include people of all ages.

RE: "12k"

I guess you didn't read my post about the $150k bonuses being a good idea. Were you on vacation : )

Amy J

u know. I don't agree with the military complex at all. but if u got it. I don't think it should be above financial scrutiny fraud and abuse like anything else in government. I think it should even be held to a higher standard because of the increased ability to abuse (and defraud) the system.

There is so much waste and abuse in government. And the military is just taking that concept to the extreme. (no checks and balances) run it like a business. lean and mean....

oh well. i give up. u ladies hav a nice day.

Ask yourself if you would join the army at any time in history for starting pay of $12K/year?

Yeah but they give you three squares each day and all the bullets you can carry.
