The Alameda flea market is only once a month? That's sort of sad. When I was young there was the flea market in Marin City on Saturdays and Sundays, full of real antiques, baubles, original art/crafts and real finds. I furnished my life from that flea market. Now everything has been discovered and catalogued, and I do not think there are so many interesting things out there. Of course, with your background, I am sure you have a very keen eye.

I have had a fun day spent mostly outside, but then at Costco. I think I will try another Costco somewhere else. The one nearest my house has now removed the organic baby salad greens from view, and no more organic blue corn tortilla chips, either. It is disappointing not to ever know what they might still carry. I did get a huge amount of organic peanut butter at a good price, however.

I have started cooking my own dog food, which is quite fun. The flavor of the day is lentils, with raw grated carrots, a tiny bit of Italian seasoning, soy sauce, extra virgin olive oil, nutritional yeast, and VegeDog, which is a supplement to make sure that when dogs eat a vegan diet, they get the right nutrients (usually derived from meat) not to develop cardiomyelopathy later in life. I would not dare put a saucer with such a concoction down in front of my cats, but the dogs seem happy and full.

I hope you have a fun weekend!
