Well, it kind of pisses me off when people make utterly wacky claims about science. AFAIK, the after effects of Pinatubo generally validated atmospheric models, not the other way around. It is precisely such events that scientists dream of getting, since it allows direct observation to test the models. There are always new insights, and better models as a result. But you meet people who try to claim that scientists are clueless left wing nuts, and we should listen instead to insightful right wing economists for a better appreciation of how the world will unfold. LOL!

So 20M tons is only about 1/4 of one years production by humans. The difference is most human production does not make it to the stratosphere, but instead is washed out by rain from the lower atmosphere.
