IT's not a generalization. Abortion rates are higher in the US - much higher than in those other countries. Many groups here do push people away from birth control, toward abstinence - that is just not happening in organized ways in Europe and other countries, they take a much different approach in teaching children about sex, and how to prevent unwanted pregnancies. I would love to see that done here - which would greatly reduce pregnancies, and abortion rates - both of which I think would be great for the US.
