< I find the biblical accounts to be true and trustworthy >

Hmmm. How did I know you'd use the Bible to support the existence of demons? Pretty useful, that book. Can you use it to charge a dead battery? That'd save me some time this morning. The Bedouin people of the Middle East could only know and understand the things they had the education and technology to understand. Jesus would have been no help in fixing my computer.

To quote Arthur C. Clarke, "Any technology sufficiently advanced appears to be magic." I wonder what the people of Biblical times would have to say about movie projectors or video of themselves shown on a big screen. One could easily stage a magic show that would scare the pants off anyone of those times. Did people play tricks on others? I think the answer is YES, especially if there were benefits to be had. Tent-based preachers still use parlor tricks to give people a show of the "power of the Lord". I don't think they ever stopped.
