Yes, it is an exciting time. Like I've been telling folks on this thread, the stars are more aligned now for good things in the Middle East than they've ever been in my lifetime.

Sure it's possible that the opportunity can slip away. But at least Bush will be able to say, he gave it his best shot. It's clear that appeasement and soft tactics in the Middle East gained no one anything for 50 years. Hardball has accelerated a process that was long overdue.

I also agree with you that the liberals who keep denying the possibilities unfolding in the Middle East and who come across as almost wishing bad things would happen just so that Bush will fail...well, they are dooming their party to the backwaters of politics for a generation. No one likes a sore loser, especially one that roots for the wrong side to win.
