A very wise practice IMHO, whether the "informant" is a foaming at the mouth Yahooligan or an MBA blue-suit senior analyst with Goldman Sachs.

Caveat emptor. Don't be fooled by how official or how much a part of the Establishment things might seem. Always look for motive. Always ask who pays the piper, that will tell you a lot about the nature of the tune being played. Human nature is always operative, regardless of the costume, cast, setting, etc.
