The problem is also for non-farms in general. You may remember the whole nannygate scandal. It should be simple for private citizens to employ others for whatever reason. But the average citizen is no-way going to be in compliance with both the legal, insurance, and tax requirements for employers unless they are employing the equivalent of a full-time position or more. That is most unfortunate in my opinion.

the big cost is if they have surgery for 300,000 or 400,000. the cost of an MRI is negligible. but insurance won't pay for it because then the injured employee has ground.

i dunno. the system is jacked because, yah. maybe there should be caps and limits but you have to take each case individually and not deny EVERYTHING across the board.....SUCH Is the case in California right now. California is a MESS. State COMP essentially is DENYING EVERYTHING. Injured workers' are going crazy and the carriers are making BIG BONUS CHECKS right now. It's a mess. Providers are on the edge because nobody is paying.
Senate Bill 899 was all about taking money from Work Comp to pay some GENERAL FUND FOR arnold scwartzenager.
