"Now even you are admitting this."

The nature of this thread is to explore and discuss topics. It is not a black and white, or blue vs red as the case may be ... political debate thread.

I posted the term 'family planning' and used the connotation 'abortion' as a reason to question the term as code speak. You have offered several posts pointing out that family planning clinics should be viewed in a much broader context.

I have no problem with recognising that. 'Explore' is not a win lose contest between blacks and whites laz. I hope you will get that and join us.

The question was about the term, not whether the service delivery options are a good thing or a bad thing. I have attempted to point that out to you several times now.

The fact is abortion clinics used the term 'family planning' and I have posted at least one link to a clinic that uses it synonymously. It seems to be going out of fashion, however, to use that term at all. 'Women's health centers' is more in vogue for the service delivery you are speaking of.

If I have grown from the discussion, then I have accomplished my goal.

You have challenged me several times with implied and spoken allegations regarding my views on abortion.

I have posted my general and current view on the topic of abortion here, within the past few days. Frankly, I don't remember what you are referring to:

"You have posted opposition to abortion previously."

Regarding oppositional positions. I have an oppositional position on just about every social issue that has been institutionalized into American culture. I also have supportive positions on the same issues. Issues are complicated things and lend themselves to circumstance and distinction.

My views on things in general evolve and mature. I doubt I would be interested in arguing the same merits of my school yard disagreements of 40 years ago. likewise, my current views on abortion are the only ones that are valid in this discussion. I don't think they contradict earlier views especially over the past couple of years, although I believe they have matured. I wont swear to that since I suspect you are referring to some conversation that was older than that. I honestly don't remember what I posted way back when but most of my posts from way back when were purely provocational and often facetious.

Abortion is a juicy topic and I am fine with exploring it here. I posted my general view on it and am willing to get into details if you like. Until or unless you do, however, the allegations are less than noble on your part.

Take care,
Jewel

You have yet to answer 2 simple questions with a yes or no

Laz, I don't know why it's necessary to drag that out. Jewel's choice to use an inaccurate dysphemism for "family planning" is a clear indicator of his perspective on the subject and speaks for itself. That's what dysphemism is all about.
