What you describe is one of the reasons many want a national health care system. I think we will end up with a 2 tiered system like Britain, only hope there is better care in the public part of the system.

Government health care: SOMEONE has to work and get ROBBED at the point of a federal GUN in order to divert medical resources to a bunch of worthless old people who never EARNED the undeserved gift.

It ALL has to STOP. The easy way-or the hard way. But it will ALL stop...

Your wife's experience should not be.

Reg. HMO's -----these are the worst. HMO's were another of those wonderful ideas that was going to help us all----"managed care". It doesn't work---the only answer is to return control to the patient/client/consumer and physician(s).

Having managed health care for our family-----I tackle the insurance company myself and assure that everything is in order
and if it isn't then I stay with it until it is.

This is what we need to get away from imo. And, that does not mean the government being the manager------government cannot do everything for us.
