In The Footnotes, Sub Rosa Rescue?

One of the things I have learned as an analyst is to always read the footnotes first. This week, I found a very interesting bit of information in a note, not in the footnotes, but BELOW the footnotes of the Fed's weekly banking report. This information, along with a couple of other data points we noted earlier this week, leads me to suspect that the Fed may be attempting to engineer a sub rosa bailout of our good friends at Fannie Mae. That could have huge implications for the markets.
