He's way out of your intellectual sphere 'sco. You can't reach his sub-level ever. I'm just trying to rise to yours regarding movies. The yoyo effect.

The big issue first: You want to post about controversial subjects on public forums. That's OK. I do too.

The problem you have is you don't want others who disagree with you to be able to reply or comment on the positions you take. Either on the same forum or another forum.

That's what you're demanding - that your word be accepted as final and there be no contrary reply or comment. You even expect others to censor themselves to avoid offending you. And you actually get very offended and upset when they don't censor themselves.

I think your position is the height of arrogance and selfishness. I find it hard to imagine how an attitude like this originates. Does a lifetime of having one's way with others lie behind it?
.....
Back to the first paragraph about the gay marriage posts - I didn't pay attention to the date of the post on the gay marriage thread - I had just discovered the thread and didn't realize that posts from January looked current due to the thread's inactivity.

On the incestuous, group, polygamous marriages issues - I think those issues are worth discussing because many people don't realize changing marriage laws will likely result in these other marriage practices being legalized as well.
.....

Your final comments get back to the main issue:

..pretend I won't talk to big bad Conservatives about Issues, What's to pretend? You clearly despise conservatives and deign to talk to them only with the utmost difficulty. Look how ugly you are being about having to post even a few sentences in reply to me.

when I really just banned you because I don't enjoy you (I can do that, you know, and I don't think I should have to talk to people I don't enjoy. Do YOU think I should have to talk to people I don't enjoy? Should you have to talk to people you don't enjoy- or do you just think that I should have to?

The question deserves an answer. I think if you want to post on controversial subjects on public forums, you have to accept that other people will have differing opinions and will respond or comment on your view. I don't have a problem with that and don't see why any mature adult should.

I forgot to ask about cross-species marriages. We know that some animals can learn a limited vocabulary of sign language signals, so an animal like the gorilla Koko, say, would be able to sign "I do" if they assented to a marriage to either a male or female human or group of humans.

Can't help but wonder if a gay marriage advocate, who supports polygamy, group marriage and incestuous marriages as well, would also go along with cross-species marriages (as long as the non-human species involved is not a child or cub, pup, lamb, calf, etc.)?

This question may be considered frivolous, but I'm confidant that somewhere in California there is someone, perhaps even a group of someones, who is ready to enter a cross-species marriage as soon as the law will allow. Perhaps a few other states too.
